Crazy Chicken Wings - Amazing!

The reddish-brown chicken wings that Frankie serves don’t really look like other wings you've ever seen -- and they don’t taste like them either. The bone has been stripped of skin and gristle so that it sticks from the meat like a handle (hence the name Chicken Lolli pops) and the meat itself is more heavily spiced than other wings. While it may be a bit of a trek if you‘re not already on the Upper West Side, it is hands down some of the best fried chicken in NYC. The food comes out quickly but doesn’t taste pre-made, and there’s an attached gay bar, if eating delicious chicken makes you feel gay. (Note: If this is the case, you are already gay.) There’s a small counter with a few stools, but be prepared to eat outside, possibly on your way to the next bar. Also be prepared to rave to random strangers about how delicious the chicken you’re eating is.

Absolutely Delish

This the best cheap and quick restaurant around Columbia.

For under $10 you can get two frankies filled to the brim of oozing delicious food. One frankie is enough to fill me, because they are surprisingly filling for their size, but I am always tempted to get more since they are so good. I must admit that I have never gotten anything but some of the frankies, but something tells me that everything at Roti Roll is equally good.

The real downside to Roti Roll is that there is very little seating - just a few stools by the windows. If you're lucky, you can snag one of those seats, otherwise you'll have to cart your fare to a different locale.

A Must!
