I go to Blockheads at least once a week. And I hate it.

Not in some 'Man, do I hate myself for the compulsion to drink six $3 margaritas' type of way, more in a 'Okay let's drink our margaritas fast so we can go to the taco cart around the corner and get something to eat' kind of way. I have eaten at this place twice and will never be compelled to do so again. The food at these places is bland, overpriced, and from what I can tell, all scooped out of the same five vats in the kitchen which basically means that the only difference between my burrito, my friend's nachos, and the quesidilla at the table next to me is that one is round, one is flat, and one is on corn chips. They all taste exactly the same.

The margaritas on the other hand, are of course, stonking great (that's the one and half stars down there, by the by, even if it's not technically food) boozey enough to you drunk after a couple, surprisingly, and the reason I'm in this place, cursing it's name every Friday.

Service tends to be surprisingly and consistently bad. Last time I was there with friends we were seated in front of a drink fridge and had to keep getting up from our table. Not a hudge problem, except no one ever said 'Thanks' or 'Sorry' and I don't even recall a 'Please' in there anywhere. Then they spilled an entire pitcher of water on one of my friend's laptops ( to be fair to them, they comped us three drinks for the incident). Getting the check is either like pulling teeth or they can't get you out fast enough.

Go to get cheap drunk. Eat at a taco truck. Your meal will be a million times better.

I have been to this Blockheads a few times and never been disappointed. It is good Tex-Mex with enough vegetarian dishes to satisfy everyone. The burritos are quite large, so the mini burrito + salad option is enough to satiate me. Three dollar frozen margaritas might push your meal over $10, but at such an appealing price, you'll feel the affects before your wallet does. The restaurant can get noisy and crowded easily, so time your trips carefully if you're worried. All in all definitely recommended.

I've also gotten delivery from this Blockheads and it was a much different experience. The delivery took almost 20 minutes more than they said it would AND my food was cold. Probably wont order out from them anymore, but will definitely keep going back to the restaurant.
