Atomic Wings Done Blown Me Away

I used to think that dogs were man's best friend. Then I realized that more of us care about hot wings than hot dogs. This theory was proven at the Atomic Wings in the East Village. I was first drawn in by their sandwich board promotion out front which claimed that a pound of boneless buffalo wings would only cost $7.99. But, of all things, what really pulled at my heart strings was the small print which claimed that all specials "include piled high waffle fries & a can of soda." I went in skeptical but was quickly turned into a believer. After taxes, I paid a mere $8.70 for a POUND of buffalo chicken fingers, a huge mound of waffle fries and my choice of canned soda. I was offered the chicken fingers in mild, medium and hot. I got the medium but wished I got the hot. What a pu**y.

Regardless of my poor choice in sauce, the wings were delicious. Hot and tangy, just how I like them. The buffalo chicken fingers were made from chicken breast and came out steaming hot. After a while, the breading got a bit soggier than I like it to be. Actually, I wish there was more breading on them as a whole but the extra crispy and delicious waffle fries made up for it. This just might become my regular spot especially since they had the game on and served beer. Yum.
